Considering this situation, during the project it will be developed guidelines
and a specific software which could be used as a design tools for soles and
floorings to optimise their performance in relation to slipping. The software
will be validate with several combinations of floorings and soles, and will be
used to study the relationship between adhesion, friction, and surface
properties (floor and sole) in different conditions (dry, wet, contaminated,
etc.) as a way to speed up the manufacturers innovative activities in creating
new possibilities on anti-slip soles or floorings.
